No, the Netgear Support does not recommend attaching a NAS to the Wi-Fi Range Extender directly. However, you can connect the NAS to the router for enhanced connectivity and performance as it will be shared on the devices in the network.

Will the Netgear Wi-Fi extender work with my existing router?

The Netgear Wi-Fi range extenders are universal extenders and are compatible with a majority of wireless routers available in the market, both purchased by the user of provided by the ISP (Internet Service Provider).   • Ensure that you purchase the version that matches your region to ensure total compatibility with power standard and connections.
  • Some Wireless extenders work on the 2.4 Ghz band while others work on the 5.0 Ghz band. If you have a router that supports only 2.4 Ghz band, the extender will work but there might be a small effect on the performance.

The security standard of my router is WEP. However, I have entered the wrong password on my extender and now not able to access the extender anymore. What should I do?

The Wi-Fi extender cannot check whether the password entered is correct or not. In case you have entered the wrong password then your wireless device might not be able to get the IP address from the extender. The Netgear Support recommends that you reset the extender to factory defaults to retrieve the IP address.
